Practicum in Health Science
Students will perform classroom and hands-on training, as well as professional development. Graduates will possess clinical and administrative skills, i.e. EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, examinations, patient history, vital signs, insurance, and billing, which enable them to perform both front and back office procedures in a physician's private practice, group medical practice, or long-term care facilities.
To prepare students to become entry-level employees in a variety of medical facilities.
At the conclusion of this practicum course, the student will be tested to become a Certified Medical Assistant.
At the end of the 2021-22 school year, 17 students were certified as medical assistants at no cost to the student!
